About the hands-on charter;
I’ve found that people have a lot more fun on their fishing trip if they actually get to be involved in the fishing process rather than just sitting and waiting and watching the deckhand do stuff. During the day we will most likely be switching fishing styles or bringing in a fish while trolling so winding up all of the trolling lines is the main part of being “hands-on”. I may also ask you to move a rod, grab a lure, hand me a tool or knife, wash some fish blood off the deck and things like that. It’s not rocket science and I don’t expect my customers to be big game fishing experts. Many of the people that fish with me have hardly any fishing experience at all. I will take the time to teach you about the equipment and how it operates along with teaching you the best techniques for bringing in THE BIG ONES.
